Kelcie Black

From the moment Kelcie could walk and talk, she wanted to perform. Growing up, she attended local theatre schools which built on her initial passion for musical theatre and gave her opportunities to perform, which included being part of the choir in multiple UK tours of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. Through her teenage years, Kelcie took part in many local productions with favourite roles being: Eve in Children of Eden, Frenchy in Grease, Kate McGowan in Titanic: The Musical and Vivian in Legally Blonde. Most recently, Kelcie has appeared as a Ronette in Little Shop of Horrors at the Stables Theatre (2025) and as Scaramouche in the Hastleons’ production of We Will Rock You at The White Rock Theatre (2026).

In 2018, Kelcie graduated from the London College of Music with a first-class honours degree in Musical Theatre. Whilst training, she performed in 9 to 5 and as Bella in Rags. Here, she also studied voice, singing and acting through song classes as part of her training. Whilst living in London, Kelcie worked as part of the artistic team at KidZania London, leading children in a variety of mini workshops such as radio, news broadcasting and theatre. In 2019, Kelcie moved back down to the coast and began working with the White Rock Youth Theatre team, teaching a mixture of drama and musical theatre. This was her first opportunity to combine performing with teaching, which she found a new passion for. In 2020, Kelcie then went onto achieve a PGCE in primary education from the University of Brighton and has been working as a class teacher and music lead in schools since graduating.

Singing has always been Kelcie’s favourite part of Musical Theatre and she is so excited that she now gets to share this with the students at SilverLee Stage School, inspiring the next generation of singers and performers. Kelcie can’t wait to join the team in September!
