Welcome to Sussex Sparks — a small, friendly and inclusive recreational cheerleading squad where every cheerleader matters. For us, cheerleading is about so much more than learning routines or stepping onto a competition floor. It’s about confidence, friendships, teamwork, laughter and creating a space where our cheerleaders can truly be themselves.

We’re passionate about making sure our cheerleaders feel seen, heard, valued and supported. Their physical and mental wellbeing is always at the heart of what we do, because we believe cheerleading should be challenging and rewarding — but above all, it should be fun, safe and something they look forward to every week. We train once a week and typically compete just once or twice a year. We fundraise for many of the things we need, helping to keep cheerleading accessible while giving our cheerleaders opportunities to perform, grow and enjoy the sport.
